Privacy Policy

Mint Your Craft (mintyourcraft.com) is offered by Master Your Mint ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

The short version: your quiz answers never leave your browser. We count results anonymously to improve the quiz. If you choose to give us your email, we keep your name, email and your archetype results so Pru can stay in touch. We don't sell your information, and we don't use advertising trackers.

What stays on your device

Your quiz answers. The answers you give in the Financial Archetype quiz, including the questions about your work, are kept only in your browser tab so you can move between steps. They are never sent to us. They are cleared when you close the tab.

Your answers in our learning tools. The free tools (for example the Income Stream Map or Full Job Pricing) save what you type in this browser on this device, so you can come back to it later. Lesson progress is saved the same way. None of it is sent to us. It stays until you use "Clear answers on this device" or clear your browser's data.

What we collect without knowing who you are

To understand how the quiz is used and to improve it, our own site records simple, anonymous events. We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics, and we do not use cookies for this.

Each event includes:

what happened: a page was viewed, the quiz was started, a step was reached, the quiz was completed, a button was clicked, or an email was submitted
in our learning pages: which tool showed you a result or which course you finished, by name only, never what you entered
for a completed quiz: your archetype, your strongest area, your next focus area, your Money Move and the version of the quiz
if you answer "Does this sound like you?": your archetype and your choice
the date and hour, a general device type (phone, tablet or desktop), and where you came from (a campaign tag in the link, or only the name of the referring website)
a random visit ID that exists only for your browser tab

We never collect your quiz answers, your name or email (in these events), the full address of the page you came from, your browser details or your IP address in this data. We don't link these events to your email, even if you later sign up.

What we collect if you sign up

If you enter your details and tick the consent box, we store:

your first name and email address
your creative discipline, if you choose to add it
that you consented, the wording you agreed to, and when
your quiz results: your archetype, the band for each of the six areas ("You have momentum", "Worth some attention" or "Ready to build"), your strongest area, your next focus area, your Money Move, and the quiz version
where you came from (a campaign tag in the link, if there was one), and when you signed up

We do not store your individual answers, any scores, or any dollar amounts.

If you follow one of our campaign links

Some links in posts and emails from Master Your Mint and Snug Concerts pass through mintyourcraft.com on their way to another page. When you follow one, we count the click and which channel it came from (for example Instagram or email), then send you on. We don't record who you are, your IP address or your browser details, and we don't set a cookie. The page you land on has its own privacy policy.

On partner sites

Some partners, such as Snug Concerts, show our Financial Archetype quiz on their own website. The quiz still runs on Mint Your Craft: your answers stay in your browser, and our partner never sees them. We count quizzes taken this way the same anonymous way as on our site, noting which partner's site you were on.

If you choose "Create your artist profile" on your Map, your browser sends your archetype and the area you chose to focus on to that partner's sign-up page, and nothing else. What the partner does with it is covered by their own privacy policy.

If you ask about a course or workshop

If you ask to hear about a course or workshop before it opens, we store your first name, email, which course or workshop you asked about, and when. We use this only to let you know when it is available. If you also tick the consent box, you join our mailing list as described above.

If you share your archetype

If you use "Share" on your Map, we create a personal link for you. Anyone with the link can see a page showing your first name and your archetype, with a general description of that archetype. It does not show your email, your answers or any of your other results. Search engines are asked not to list these pages.

To make the link, we store your first name, email, archetype, the quiz version and when you created it. If you also tick the consent box, you join our mailing list as described above. If you don't, we keep your email only so you can manage or remove your link. We never email you or add you to a list.

Links expire 12 months after you create them. You can ask us to remove your link at any time using the [contact form](/contact/) (choose "remove my share link"). When your last link expires or is removed, and you are not on our mailing list, we delete your details.

If you contact us

If you use our contact form, we keep your name, email, the type of request and your message so we can respond. We delete it 90 days after the request is closed.

If you book a Clarity Call

Our booking page shows a scheduling calendar provided by 17hats, the service Master Your Mint uses for appointments. When that page loads, 17hats receives your visit and may set its own cookies. Anything you enter to book goes to Master Your Mint through 17hats, under 17hats' own privacy policy. Booking does not add you to our mailing list.

Security records

To protect the site from spam and abuse, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of the network address that submits a form or records an event, for up to 24 hours. The scrambling key changes every day and old keys are destroyed, so we cannot recover your actual IP address from it.

The site uses one strictly necessary cookie, set only on pages with a form, to protect those forms from forgery. It holds only a random ID, is not used for analytics or advertising, and expires when you close your browser.

How we use your information

To send you occasional emails from Master Your Mint, if you signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To follow up with ideas and resources that fit your results.
To understand how the quiz is used and to improve the questions, the archetypes and the site.
To keep the site secure.

We do not sell or rent your information. We do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Master Your Mint, to stay in touch with you.
Innova Forge Works, which builds and runs the site for us, and our hosting provider, only to operate and maintain the site.
17hats, if you book a Clarity Call, to handle the booking for Master Your Mint.
Anyone we are legally required to share it with.

We do not share your information with Snug Concerts or any other organization. If you use the Sound Money program through the Snug Artist Hub, that is a separate service with its own policy.

How long we keep it

Quiz answers: never received; cleared when you close the tab.
Contact details and results: while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we permanently delete your details 90 days later.
Course and workshop requests: until we have let you know it is available, and never longer than 12 months. If you also joined the mailing list, your details stay while you are subscribed.
Learning tool answers and lesson progress: never received; kept in your browser until you clear them.
Campaign link clicks: counted with the anonymous events below.
Share links: 12 months after you create them, or sooner if you ask. If you shared without joining the mailing list, your details are deleted when your last link ends.
Deletion requests: handled right away.
Backups: kept for 14 days, so deleted information is fully gone within two weeks.
Anonymous events: kept for 13 months, then combined into monthly totals and deleted.
Security records: 24 hours.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Use the form at [mintyourcraft.com/contact](/contact/) and choose the kind of request. We will respond within 30 days. Once email sending begins, every email will include a one-click unsubscribe link.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. We will honor them.

Security

Your information is stored on our own server in a location that cannot be reached from the web, with access limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

Mint Your Craft is for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Not financial advice

The quiz, your Map and our Notes and Guides are general financial education, not individual financial, tax, legal or investment advice.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell subscribers by email.
